In Spring of 2006 Hatrick, along with partner Finnforest, met with Tesco's designers for this project, the first Tesco store to utilize fully a Glulam structural frame, timber wall panels and timber cladding. As the store had to be completed by 26th November 2006, Glulam was brought into the U.K. in stock lengths for expediency.

Hatrick set up a manufacturing facility in premises provided by the client adjacent to the site. The timber, connections and wall panels were all fabricated by Hatrick in these premises and then transported the short distance to site for erection. Hatrick, once again in partnership with Finnforest, then went on to install the structural timber frames for Tesco Shrewsbury and Asda Shaw in the following months. The Glulam and Kerto were supplied by Finnforest with Evolve Consulting Engineers (www.evolveuk.biz) providing the timber design engineering resource.

Hatrick established an excellent working relationship with the main contractor at Wick - Barr Construction. They are working with Barr at present in Hinckley, building the first timber framed "Tesco Express." Along with frame erection, Hatrick are also the groundworks package contractor for this project.
